Mr. Sennett has been involved in emergency response planning, training and assessment initiatives since 1971. He has served as a firefighter, company officer and training officer. In 1973 he was hired by National Fire Protection Association to secure, direct and manage OSHA training contracts. In 1979 he was appointed as the Association's first Director for Continuing Education. In 1983, he founded Emergency Response Systems with a goal of implementing performance based training and assessment programs for general industry, fire, rescue and emergency response organizations. He has served on numerous OSHA, NFPA and ICC technical committees and authored numerous articles on emergency response strategies, fire service hiring and assessment processes. In 2003 he developed a "key job dimensions" based assessment process for chief fire officers and command personnel that has been used to assess more than 300 promotional candidates. In addition to directing  the personnel development and assessment programs he  currently serves as Project Manager and Principal Instructor  for USCG/ OSHA required confined space training programs.
